Social Studies
Social Studies curriculum engages students in learning about the world around them. It includes government, history, geography, economics, culture, and current events. Social Studies concepts are embedded throughout the day. From Workshops in Expert 21 and selected readings in Benchmark Literacy to learning to work as part of a team, social studies goes beyond dates in history to help students become engaged citizens.
The curriculum is being revised to better reflect the Common Core State Standards expectations.
