Head Lice Information
A student found to have nits in his/her head may remain in school. The parent is notified of the findings. The decision to take the child home is left to the discretion of the parent. The student/parent is provided with information regarding hair care and home care.
If a student is found to have live lice in his/her head the parent is notified. The student will be sent home. The parent will be provided with information regarding hair care and home care.
Room checks are not done.
Letters are not sent home. This is to protect the privacy and confidentiality of the student.
