Hi, my name is Elizabeth King and I am Hazelgreen’s media specialist.  I began my teaching career at Hazelgreen School in 1990.  I taught third and fourth grade for 18 years, and became Hazelgreen’s media specialist in 2009. As Hazelgreen’s media specialist, I have the privilege of working with all of our students in kindergarten through grade 6. My position provides me with the opportunity to be an integral factor in helping our students grow as readers.  I promise to share my enthusiam for learning and love of books with all of your children!    

My qualifications include: 

• A Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Northern Illinois University
• A Master's and Supervisory Endorsement in Reading from Northeastern Illinois University

• An endorsement in Media Studies and Library Science from Chicago State University
