I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself as your child's teacher.  I have been working in District 126 since 2008, having taught First Grade and Second Grade at Stony Creek and Kindergarten the last five years here at Hazelgreen. Prior to working in School District 126, I taught English overseas in Korea.  I believe my background truly helps me prepare your child for the next grade level. I know exactly what they are expected to know leaving my classroom.

Outside of school I enjoy many activities.  I am currently a managing editor for a children's gaming magazine which is published bi-annually which really helps me promote my love for writing both inside and outside the classroom.  You can find it in our school library! If you have attended assemblies in the past, you might have seen me behind the video camera.  That is because videography is also a big hobby of mine and I truly enjoy capturing all the wonderful activities here at Hazelgreen!

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email at twilkus@dist126.org or call my direct line at 708-293-2210.  Please keep in mind if you call during the school day between 8:15 a.m. - 2:50 p.m., it will go directly to voicemail.  I will call you back during a plan time or after school.  I usually arrive to school around 7:35 a.m. everyday and available to talk before the students arrive.

Thank you so much.

Mr. Wilkus
