Welcome back to Hornets and welcome to all our new Hornets!

For those of you whom I have not met, here is a little background on me.  I grew up in Oak Lawn. I went to Hannum Elementary School, McGugan Jr. High, Richard High School, then onto Moraine Valley Community College and Governors State where I earned my Elementary Education K-9 Teaching Degree.  I was hired by D126 in 1999.  Hazelgreen has been my home ever since. Through the years I have taught second, third, and now fourth grade.  A few years into my teaching career, I went back to school for a Masters in Educational Administration. Then I went back again to earn a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction (with a focus in Common Core Mathematics K-6).  I have always participated in many school and district committees/initiatives as I love being a teacher and being involved in making D126 the best place to be for all our students.

Outside of the school day, I spend time with my family and friends.  I love to travel and listen to live music whenever possible. I am a mom of an adult daughter.  She is the light of my life and I know being her mom has had a great influence on being the best teacher I can be for your child.

Thank you for entrusting me with your child's education.  Please know I take my role in your student's education seriously and want nothing but the best for all my students.
