Hello, my name is Michelle Doucet. I am the School Social Worker for Prairie Junior High School. I have over twenty years of experience in the field of social work and have not only worked in the elementary, junior high and high school levels, but also have job experiences in the psychiatric hospital setting. I received my Bachelor and Master's of Social Work degrees at Aurora Univeristy of Illinois and I am also a Liscenced Social Worker (LSW). I have worked at Prairie Junior High for the last 7 years and prior to this worked at Hazelgreen Elementary School for 10 years. I absolutely love to work with the junior high students. They are at such an engaging and incredibly creative age in their lives. I believe it is the first stepping stone for them into becoming an adult. The connections we make with students at this age are so vital and key to guiding them down a successful path.
