Parent Involvement

We need parents to get involved!

Parents are the most important part of the lives of our students!  You are their first teacher.  We value our parents and partnering with you to make your child's first educational experience the best it can be.  One of the requirements of our program is that parents participate in our program through a variety of activities such as classroom parties, field trips which correlate with our studies, mystery readers and more!

We also offer Parent "Universities" several times a year, which are presentations offered on various subjects involving child development.  If you have an idea on a Parent "University" topic which would be of interest to you, please contact our center.  These presentations may be offered during a morning or afternoon session. At times, we may have nightly events for presentations.  Please look for more information throughout the year in newsletters, your child's folder or on our website.

The district has a Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee which meets several times throughout the school year.  This is a great way for you to get invovled in your child's education.  As a member of the District 126 Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC) you will: *Advocate for your child and other bilingual children in District 126 *Make decisions regarding bilingual programs and services *Connect with other District 126 parents *Serve as a parent leader in your child’s school and District 126 *Participate in workshops, conferences and events for bilingual parents.  Look for more information coming soon!
